20 years ago I spent 6 weeks in Tuscany going from medieval city to medieval city with a couple of buddies. One of the best 6 weeks of my life.
conwy wales is quite a nice castle town behind a wall.
"Stari Most" = "Old Bridge," not "Bridge keeper"
The depressed cousin hisologically support because wilderness microscopically wash absent a dazzling thursday. aquatic, earsplitting tanzania
My city is first
Take a year of your youth and travel alone or with a friend throughout these places. Stay with the people living in every area and avoid tourist trap hotels. You will never regret the experience and will likely do it again.
What an amazing video! This kind of videos inspire smaller channels like mine! Keep sharing!!
People think of London but it’s not even in the top 10 oldest places in the UK
Yes all these towns are gorgeous and striking. I love Romania's Brașov as I am Romanian but I also prefer warm regions with a Mediterranean climate so Southern Spain, Southern Italy, Croatia and Greece areas.
Where's Palma de Mallorca ? One of the most beautiful medieval cities. I would to live there.
Nice video, but the lack of representation of North/East/Balkan, you really should include a video abt that, there is Europe outside of the West Europe/Mediterranean!
My score is at 11. But I lived in middle europe all my life, so I've been in some more than once.
Mostar
twice (I really love it, so beautiful, charming and so cheap you can chill in the best places for still very low prices)
Brasov (when being there don't miss Sighisoara and Sibiu)
Bern
Heidelberg, lived there for 5 years while study medicine (sadly I didn't live in the medieval part)
Rovinj twice, nice beaches
York twice
Colmar, oddly only once last year, although I could be there in 80 min from home. When being there don't miss my home black forest.
Dubrovnik twice (it's surely on nearly every top whats so ever Europe list, but I might not go there again, because it was so crowded and expensive last time)
Bruges twice
Kotor, really nice too, we went from Mostar, Dubrovnik then to Kotor in 2 days
Siena
Tallinn has the DM Barr.
Rye, England should have made this list. It is a stunning medieval town.
EUrope is so beautiful thanks for sharing this video. Hope you can help me back thank you
I am French national and despite my obvious love for my country, please consider as Valetta in Malta as one of the most beautiful old city in the world!
As always, quality videos right here!
When in Europe, just travel 30km in any direction and you’ll find a picturesque medieval town.
Seeing as how we're not going to be flying in a drone or helicopter, much of the footage is not of much use to a potential visitor. I would like to have seen more street views and inside the buildings that are mentioned. Any such list is going to be highly subjective, given the abundance of medieval towns in Europe. My favourite – Vezelay – wasn't included. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable vid to watch. Thanks for putting it together.
La mas autentica, bonita y de las mas antiguas es Salamanca, mas mediaval que todas las del video.
Hello everyone I invite you to my channel, where I will share my stories and creative projects. Subscribe, I will be glad to see you!
rovinj and dubrovnik are great places to visit. and that annoying suzuki commercial where the cars are driving below umbrellas was shot in the city of novigrad. if you visit there, eat at Sidro. get the lobster linguini. but like many have said below, pick a country, pick a direction, doesn't matter. it's all roman construction.

The whole of Italy is beautiful.
I suppose all these places are wonderful, but I will take almost any place in Italia any time.
oh they look like mmorpg soo nice
Just to remark that those were not the Balkan wars that this nice video mentions twice by mistake. Those were the SFRY ethnic wars.
I also like Venice, Rhodes, Mdina and Valleta (Malta)
Or Salzburg
Also Monteriggioni near Siena and Arezzo. But all Tuscany it is medioeval, Florence ecc..
Υπαρχει και η Μασαιωνικη Πολη της Ροδου!!! Στην Ελλαδα!!!!
I am surprised that Stratford on Avon isn't on the list, with it being the birth place of the greatest medieval writer of all time
Lots of wonderful places in Europe but don't get too starry-eyed – also a helluva lot of concrete.
There were may, many more medieval towns to present… Sighisoara, Nurnberg, Cracovia, Veliko Tarnovo, Sibiu, Cluj, Sozopol, Tropea, Siracusa… maybe in a future movie…
18:18 and 28:52 WOW!
our beautiful Europe! love it here
…unfortunately the film was obvioudly nade by Americans with no clue as to what pertains history and beauty. I throw just the first few coming up to my mind such as Urbino, Gradara, San Leo, Montefiore Conca, the Provincia di Arezzo, L'Aquila, the decins in Umbria, Marche and Lazio, and other little towns and villages in the Etruschian Italy – contained from low Romagna and high Tuscany in the North and the axis line from Pescara east to Rome west. It is an unforgivable miss, and display of blatant ignorance. Advice to make a list of 50-100 and make mote than half are Italian.
I would like to point out they have beautiful walls since walls work and are not only protective but beautiful in the countryside
Which city is at 0:34 ?
I visited Europe many times and never got bored. Always found something interesting while I was in Europe. America to me is quite boring.
nonbody likes my Bergamo in Italy?
